Lucas Koach

Lucas Koach currently serves as the Director of Public Policy and Advocacy for Food for the Hungry (FH) based out of their Washington, DC Service Center. Koach is responsible for creating strategies that allow FH to effectively engage with the U.S. government, multilateral institutions, and other key domestic and international stakeholders. He educates audiences on FH programing and advocates for smart international relief and development policy. He advocates for FH by building sectorial and constituent coalitions nationally and internationally. As an ordained Anglican priest, Koach walks with faith and policy leaders, exposing them to issues of extreme poverty and the role the faith community plays in relief and development. Over the course of his career, Koach has successfully integrated his diverse experience in ministry, non-profit, business and political settings. He holds an MA from Denver Seminary, and graduated magna cum laude as an Honors Scholar in Government and International Studies from West Virginia Wesleyan. Koach lives in Arlington, VA with his wife and two children.
